Highlights from the Day of Prayer PDF
Here are a few highlights from around the country regarding Renewal's recent Day of Prayer.
Each school took the idea of praying for water and made it uniquely their own.

Katie Jantzen at Eastern Mennonite University (VA) writes:
We began with an introduction about the importance of water, had a prayer time for international, national, and local issues, and closed with a song. I think it went well, and it was nice to take time out of the day to stop and think about these issues, as well as how blessed we are to have adequate water.

Tim Vande Brake at
Roberts Wesleyan College (NY) writes:
We were fortunate to have a RWC grad in the area who has worked with the Ugandan Water Project. He was our primary speaker. The college Chaplain and the Dean of Northeastern Seminary (which is on the RWC campus) as well as a student representative of the Ecology Club helped plan the service.

Leah Kelley at Michigan State University (MI) writes:
We had hot chocolate, two of our members shared their environmental/spiritual testimonies, we prayed, and then sang worship. We also made wrap bracelets by sewing thin strips of fabric together, and sold those for donations to Living Water, the non-profit that gives clean water to those who need, in the name of Jesus!

Sarah McCormack at Wheaton College (IL) writes:
We decided to have a Taize service using the language of the liturgy we had written. We had students from the conservatory play the music and art students from the group ISOTA create a craft station so that people could worship through art and water.
