Join us for a week of classroom and outdoor learning, fieldwork, worship, fun and more at A Rocha's Creation Care Institute in Santa Barbara, California, June 6-12, 2010. The Institute will equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to design, launch and manage conservation projects in their own communities. Instruction will be provided by such well-know faculty as Dr. Chris Wright, noted author, Director of the Langham Partnership International, and Chair of the Lausanne Committee's Theological Education Committee (via Internet); Ben Lowe, author of Green Revolution: Coming Together to Care for Creation and Director of Renewal; Rev. Ed Brown, author of Our Father's World and Director of Care of Creation, and Dr. Matthew Sleeth, author of Serve God, Save the Planet (invited). Topics will include:
- the biblical basis for environmental stewardship;
- citizen-level conservation science;
- organizing projects and volunteers; and
- funding conservation efforts.
Housing for the Institute will be at Westmont College.
