Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2011 Day of Advocacy! On April 14th Renewal and Restoring Eden joined forces for a day of postcard-signing and letter-writing asking our senators to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The campaign resulted in over 1,355 postcards and letters which were sent to students' respective senators and which will also be sent cumulatively to President Obama. Additionally, students found that it was a great way to raise awareness and have conversations about the EPA and the budget cuts it currently faces. Let's continue to express our support for the EPA's work to keep our human and nonhuman communities healthy!
